ChildFund Mexico: donation payment system

ChildFund Mexico was one of the most important and challenging projects I worked on. The organization originally had a WordPress site, and later moved to a custom implementation where my main responsibility became the donation payment system.

I worked with Stripe, PayPal and later OpenPay, validating forms, creating payment sessions, sending emails and integrating the donation data with external systems used by the organization. It was the first time I faced real payment flows and the responsibility of handling sensitive donor information.

This was also the last major project I worked on alongside Adriano Ortiz Garda, a very capable developer whose work I respect. For my portfolio, ChildFund represents critical production experience: payments, backend, security, deployment on DigitalOcean and the patience required to maintain an inherited system.
