DIR Humana

Long-term maintenance and evolution of a Gatsby recruitment website with Firebase, job filters, forms and SEO improvements.
DIR Humana is one of the client projects that has stayed with me the longest. I did not build the original system, but I have maintained it, modified it and gradually improved important areas such as job vacancies, forms, email delivery and Firebase data handling.
The main challenge has always been working with an inherited system. The data was not normalized, so duplicated locations and work modes appeared under slightly different names. Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch, I learned to read the existing problem and improve it without breaking continuity for the client.
One of the most important technical changes was improving the vacancy structure for SEO and Google Jobs by generating job pages through Netlify rebuilds when Firebase data changed. It was not the most orthodox solution, but it worked for the project’s context and constraints.
